GOSH ATE SO HARD! Best Filipino film I’ve watched.
There’s so much things that have already been said about the cinematography and sound. But the writing MYGOD! Such an effective way to tell the social vulnerabilities of hard-of-hearing and deaf individuals. Felt so real and valid. Outsold Coda idc.
So much bravery through openness and tenderness in the film rendered through it’s writing AND cinematic choices. Making the later third of the movie, almost devoid of spoken dialogue. AND THE ENDING! Reminded me so much of Red Shoes.
Easy entry into my top 4.
