Italian for Beginners 2000

From a personal point, I surprisingly enjoyed this film a lot more than I thought I would. Hearing about this movement did ignite the inner-revolutionist in me but all of the rules seemed to be too restrictive to enjoy. Nevertheless, in the scene where Jørgen Mortens confessed his love to Giulia I found myself silently weeping with joy. Personally, I loved the somewhat restrictive nature that Dogme ’95 had within this film, as it did strip it back to the bare bones of cinema which was the whole point of the movement in the first place.

Timothée Chalamet is living my dream. Running about a gorgeous Italian villa, surrounded by fruit trees and drinking wine. Getting involved in a summer romance with Armie Hammer. Having a closeted homosexual father.
