Mickey 17 2025
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Clumsy and Pandering. Very “oh how do you do fellow poors?” Kinda vibes. When I saw Pattinson in the lead I thought “maybe there’s actually a story here” but the desire to see it was quickly squashed by the knowledge that Ruffalo was the villain. I don’t want a “capitalism is bad” lecture from multimillionaires. This movie is an expendable 40~/100

Captain America: Brave New World 2025
Mid. Extremely mid. Action was not impressive and the story took itself way too seriously. Winter soldier eats this movie’s lunch no question. Anthony Mackie just doesn’t have the x-factor Chris Evans had. He doesn’t give any sense of nobility or duty. Just a bland “I wanna do the right thing because I’m the hero” personality. He was much more interesting as a side character. 40~/100

The show All-American has become a meme because it’s goofy depiction of athleticism to an audience…

Conclave 2024
Every year, social media aggregates a select few movies to enter the awards carousel, and every year, there’s a film that you’d come home to your parents to watch with a bottle of red wine and maybe some pistachios from the “dad drama” genre: darkest hour, the two popes, hacksaw ridge, this year it’s conclave. But don’t be fooled, I went into it expecting to roll my eyes at drama carted to middle-aged people who grew up in the church…
