I remember my uncle taking me to see an IMAX screening of this for my 10th birthday in the summer of 2011. Harry Potter was everywhere and practically unavoidable, In fact we even visited the studios the following year upon it's grand opening. Nothing will ever compare to the tenacious grip that these films had on youth culture in the 2000s. The books, The films, The video games, It was truly something unique to our generation.

Even though this film is mostly build up to part 2, I love the imagery of barren landscapes, abandoned towns and forests. The constant nauseating whirr of Horcruxes and abrasive screech of Ron's radio. David Yates played Silent Hill 2 before directing this.
Can Ari Aster and Wes Anderson please stop projecting their dysfunctional family traumas onto the cinema screen thanks
This movie brings me so much joy. Every shot is gorgeous and demands my attention for all 2 and a half hours. If only Alfonso Cuarón had returned to direct Goblet of Fire we would be living in a thriving utopia.
