  I watched the director's cut of Brazil last night. Unfortunately, it's been so long since I've seen the studio release that I couldn't quite tell what was new/different in this version. The thing that struck me most was quite how chillingly prophetic the film is in all the throwaway touches in the background. The propaganda posters especially (urging suspicion and paranoia) would not be out of place in the present-day Britain.
