The trailer makes a bigger emotional impact than the film….. It’s so close to being great, but the story feels like it skips all over the place. Seemingly random scenes of younger Nick are mixed with scenes that take place in the present. This can be done well, but in this case it just makes the movie feel disjointed. Also there are large time gaps that can be hard to pick up on sometimes, since years will go by but…

I’ve seen better acting from kids receiving books for Christmas. I could barely follow this movie due to the actors drooling out their lines like they’re having a stroke. Emily, the artist, is notable because she paints while being blind and THE WORST FUCKING ACTRESS EVER FILMED. In addition to Emily sounding like a lobotomite, the film has random unexplained scenes spliced in that make it even harder to follow the story. It’s genuinely impossible to follow what the hell is going on. If you want to watch something that makes you feel like you have dementia, this is it.

Hands down the best film to ever grace the screen. Sometimes I day-dream about a major earthquake happening just so Daddy Dwayne will come save me with his helicoptering skills. Dwayniel “The Rock” Johnson literally stops a tsunami from killing everyone (the tsunami still kills people, BUT it would’ve been a lot worse if the tsunami hadn’t run into The Rock before crashing into San Francisco).
