  Rosie and i made a carbonara and watched this when i had Covid and i fuckin loved that bit when the guy is making fun of him for not saying i love you back to his gf on the phone and mocks “i love u with all my heart if i don’t see u again soon ima gonna die”

  Recently I’ve been concerned at how the all consuming nature of my despair in heartache has been impacting my songwriting, like being at the mercy of these feelings can only have a limited outcome but this doc completely made me feel free to lean into the power of that and i am grateful for chavela!!!!!!!!!!

  We watched this with my mum in Wales and she said it reminded her of her life in some parts; like the mean teachers, mean kids and the accents were similar to the region she grew up in somewhat. There was no subtitles so we missed on some stuff. I loved this movie deeply i think it’s important to see things that don’t end the way you want them to. Felt like this movie was all about capturing the only joyful fulfilling moment that would ever happen in this boys life - heart breakin
