A very fun film from a great series, you would have to watch the show and the previous films to fully see that these actors have reprised their roles again and again to really just have fun.

Touchez Pas au Grisbi 1954
So bleak yet stylish. This film reminded me of Melville's Bob Le Flambeur which would come out 2 years after this, yet it maintained its own feel. An ageing criminal wanting to retire, Gabin stole the show with his performance and Lino Ventura's cold debut added to this post-heist noir. The stunning cinematography, perfectly pressed suits and Parisian score masterfully display the cruel atmosphere of the French underworld.

I had never written a letterboxd review before watching Fellini's epic, 8 1/2, but during the film I had to pause it and absorb the themes and message of the film, something I've never done previously.
