Maybe I’m crazy but to me this movie is campy and self aware making me forgive its flaws. Even though I predicted nearly every twist, the emphasis on style made me feel like I was watching a Hammer film bc it can’t take itself too seriously. Rape revenge movies in modern day are so interesting bc it’s almost like we don’t know how to make them anymore. We are so focused on doing it properly it we fuck it up again and trivialize women’s struggles. The revenge is not focused on the ugly reality and instead it romanticizes female rage and rape at the same time
