  This movie does itself a disservice by advertising it as “from the director of Superbad.” It’s much better than that. It said set in 1987 at the start, but I totally forgot til hours after finishing. I get it’s based on the director’s childhood, but I didn’t get 80s from it. Also seeing Deadpool kiss Bella Stewart was off putting. Good movie, would rewatch.

  I went into this not knowing anything about Bob Dylan, and, as a Timmy skeptic. I really just came for Elle Fanning. Timothee absolutely killed it and I’m now convinved.
