  The Mummy 1999

  Still really holds up. Super fun discount Raiders with a great cast and a little bit of Universal Monsters. The CGI’s certainly dated, but this was still the era of most things being in camera so it’s never egregious. Maybe a bit too much of character’s just blatantly saying how they feel and constant exposition. It’s partially the nostalgia blinders I have for this one, but it never irked me too bad. This is total comfort food.

  Was talking crime movies with my buddy and he said he hadn’t seen this so I instantly made him watch it. Love it. Have the 4K I still have to watch. William Friedkin forever.

  Finally got to this.

  Story is great. Mikey Madison is great. Choices of wide anamorphic lenses to show shit is fucked up near the end is great. Yeah man, do like that Sean Baker and am bummed I missed this in theatres.
