What would used to have been called "Straight to Video" but in a good way. Loads of my favourite films growing up were straight to video and this was enjoyable enough.

The Apartment 1960
Strange, watching this from a modern perspective, there are no "good guys" in this film. Every one is taking advantage of every one else, including C.C. Baxter and Fran. Even down to the doctor who wildly slaps Fran to get her to come round. I don't know if it was seen the same way on release, but the themes of betrayal, adultery, suicide and greed are very cleverly disguised behind some melancholy comedy.
