  Beautiful to look at, both in set and costume, and Margot Robbie is really killin' it.

  Otherwise the plot, script, and liberal capitalist vibe of it all made it hard to watch without activating my critical thinking skills.

  Lemora: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural 1973

  A coming of age film that perfectly captures the unease of being a young girl. Lila has to ask herself if she is a good christian, what is good or evil, what is nature or nurture, and most of all, should she fall to Lemora and her promise of power.

  (As someone who was once a 13 year old girl terrified by men and their behavior, I would've killed for Lemora to pick me up and take me away.)

  Very much a film from its time, but there is a lot to enjoy while watching Lila fall into her own sort of Alice-like rabbit-hole.
