Parthenope 2024
A confusing patchwork of bizarre scenes and nondescript characters, overlaid with Instagram-philosophy dialogue which together try really really really hard to say something deep about all kinds of things (what it means to be a woman, to have youth and beauty and to not have it, what young love can be, and more) but remains an absolutely empty shell of inconclusive superficiality.

The Apprentice 2024
Creative film that does a good job of portraying some of sir Trump’s insanity as well as the general craziness of the 80s. Of course “Kendall” is captivating as always and Stan is excellent and actually convincing as Trump. Still, perhaps due to its oddness and superficial storyline and caricatural characters, it doesn’t seem to be able to elevate itself to a film that really says something.
