  Guadanino went real Yorgos Lanthimos on us with this one. Like literally Poor Things but queer with all the animated shit that looks like AI to the (unneeded) amount of nudity to the unethical love story.   I sobbed no lie, 4 separate times. Such a good coming of age movie, such a good teenage love story, and an even better family story. As a person who loves singing and signing, my heart is full… also this was so funny?????

  This is one of those quiet, beautiful movies that rarely gets Oscar nominations or recognition, films like these deserve. The Wes Anderson-like cinematography, the beautiful acting, the fully classical Chopin score ( who was antisemitic ironically enough), and the love (and pain) letter to Poland and its history was refreshing to see, especially as a directorial debut. I giggled, I shed a tear, and I'm happy I watched it. Interested to see if this wins anything tonight
