  The way this was shot is something like I’ve never seen before, and it was stunning. I wouldn’t say I’m 100% on board with the first person POV because we never get to see the two main characters truly interact with each other (from the outside looking in) but the moments we do get are so powerful. Some moments in this felt like a horror movie with the soundtrack, moments of suspense… and rightly so. What a tragic tale of American history. 

  P.s why isn’t Hattie (Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor) nominated for best supporting actress !!!! A true disservice

  The cinematography in this film is 5/5. Incredibly haunting and perfectly fits the old vampire vibes of the movie. Pacing was a little slow, but the visuals and Lily’s physical acting makes up for that IMO.
