  this film is truly unforgettable.

  whenever probed on what some of the best films of all time are, 'the thing' always has and always will be right at the top of my list. i cannot recommend it enough to movie-enjoyers.

  it's horrifying, tense and outstandingly well crafted with brilliant characters, dialogue, setting and plotline. it was so much better than i had expected, and i don't think i could ever tire of watching it.

  With superb use of cinematography and suspense, 'Prisoners' creates an effectively tense and unsettling sequence about the hunt for two lost girls, supposedly abucted on Thanksgiving day.

  Aliens 1986

  if i'm being honest, i didn't have very high hopes for this second installment after watching the second predator movie (i couldn't get all the way through it), and the general knowledge that big franchises are milked of their good content. 
  however, i was pleasantly surprised! not only do you get a lot more information and screentime on and for the xenomorphs, we witness an extremely interesting storyline and a new crew. 
  although i feel it won't be as classic as the first installment, this film was great! the last half hour is the best for certain.
