Lily Gladstone delivers what will probably end up being a decade defining performance, and De Niro’s character definitely up there as one of the most evil people put to film ever.
3.5 hour run time is absolutely worth it, not a single second is wasted.
Also forgot how much of a dumbass Leo’s character is. None of these guys are even competent at being criminals. As soon as the FBI pulls up it takes them like 30 seconds to figure…

The Brutalist 2024
Artist looks for the American dream only to find his own exploitation at the hands of a dude who owns everything and makes nothing. Ending justifies the run time. Most of it is essentially a rags to richest story, but underneath lies a sense that it’s all going to come crumbling down in the end. Great performances from the entire cast, Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones especially.
More movies should have built in intermissions! I’m trying to stay hydrated and don’t wanna miss anything.

The Monkey 2025
Kinda butt im not gonna lie. It was mostly boring. A lot of the movie was just Final Destination style deaths, but the effects weren’t good enough to make it very entertaining or visceral to make me feel anything. All the really gruesome stuff was CGI. Expected better cause there was a monkey in it. Shame!
