Exquisite agony

Perfect, no notes

Saw in theaters when it came out. An absolute masterclass of storytelling, character, and visual spectacle. Had me laughing out loud, jaw dropping, and speechless. Soundtrack has me in a chokehold to this day. 10/10, no notes.

Perplexing, evocative, meandering, and surreal. Steeped in symbolism and layers of convoluted fears, desires, and vices. The more I mull it over the more I am devastated by its raw, sad, and simple message. I left the theater confused and stunned, but it’s a story you have to let sit with you (and probably rewatch) to understand and appreciate. Daniel Craig was fascinating. 4.5 stars not because I loved it but because I am still trying to unravel and unpack everything, and I love a story that makes me think. The more I think and learn about the story the higher my opinion of Luca’s interpretation.
