Less convincing plot than I’d hoped for, but much funnier than I expected.
I’d have liked a bit more of an exposition of the moral issues relating to ‘reprinting’, but overall I didn’t mind it too much. The film’s a jumble, but an enjoyable one.
Did enjoy it, but was hoping for more of the fantastical than you actually get. Less war, more faun. Still a good film though and the CGI holds up to this day.
Bumping this up to a 4/5. I don’t know why I gave it a 3.5 when I first watched it a couple of years back. I think it’s because I watched it with two people I didn’t really like.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
It started off very promising. The height of the tension I felt was the fake-out scene with the kids. Then it kind of just all folded in on itself into a bit of a jumbled mess. I still enjoyed it though; the set-piece at the end with all the flaily-balloon-people (idk what they’re called) was great.
