not normally my style of movie but the acting was good, and the story was actually much sweeter than I would have expected. things resolve a bit too cleanly and some of the harder themes about sex work aren't explored as much as they could have been...but also it's a teen rom com, so I wouldn't necessarily expect it to get too real either. Overall quite enjoyed it
Really great film overall with a few threads that if they had been fully explored would have been perfect for me (sumitha's food business, and the final resolution trying to take the high road while still ending happy). this is such a a unique idea for a movie but I'm still quite confused where I stand on it. The complicated web of character interactions and editing different storylines together was done really well. I really enjoyed the depiction of Venice in this movie and the setting brought up very evocative emotions itself, perfect the haunted house vibes the movie was going for. All of the characters were well acted although unlike other Poirot mysteries I was a little less satisfied with everyone's motivations.
