I adore this movie to absolute pieces. It’s such an emotionally monumental experience through everything this young girl endures in this period of her adolescence, and there are only a handful of coming-of-age films that made me feel the way this did.

I resonated with this so incredibly more on a rewatch. I didn’t understand it as much the first time I saw it, but every person has an important meaning to what this story is trying to say. A 2010s rom-com that actually hits?! Succeeds more in its surprising amount of heart, though it still doesn’t pull off as much as I thought it would by the end. I didn’t know Jason Sudeikis and Alison Brie could nail performances like this so well, and it’s a kind of chemistry that walks the line between platonicism and something obviously greater to a balanced extent.

I also think it’s time I finally tried watching Community.

A very good, sensual trip that plays with the inner workings of these professional, yet flawed people. Michael Fassbender just nails any role he is given, and damn does he exceed in having such a radiant presence with his conversations and physicality here, while Cate Blanchett is equally as seductive and powerfully in control of the atmosphere.

The setting and vibes were so good. The main thing that would have elevated it for me if it went more folk horror
