I’m a big Dylan fan but I’m not a big Tim fan …. For that reason I put off seeing this for a while.
Found the story quite hollow - top heavy with music while lacking a lot of detail. Also some of the inaccuracies annoyed me but these tend to happen in biopics.

The Girl with the Needle 2024
Wow what a film …. Based on a true story and set in the aftermath of WWI this starts with an eerie and quite sinister opening title sequence.
Before I watched this I avoided any other reviews and thought this would be a run of the mill war story - the WWI aspect plays only a small part though.
At times this feels like a Robert Eggers film which is only a good thing. Being in black and white gives it an extra edge and you definitely feel like you’re watching a gothic horror at times.
