Easily of the most epic movies I’ve ever seen. In my opinion, they couldn’t have captured the last half of the book any better. Combine this with part one and you have a 5+ hour science fiction masterpiece. Bring on part three!

One of the best crime films ever made. The cinematography, soundtrack, sets, and costumes capture the mood and time period perfectly. The performances are all fantastic and help create memorable characters you want to see succeed. Fincher’s deliberate pacing and attention to detail really gets you involved and immersed into the storyline.

This movie is pretty good. Massive improvement over the original. There is way more character development than in the original cut so you actually care about what’s going on. An instant classic, which I loved just as much if not more at home with the subtitles on. My only complaint during my first viewing of the film in 70 mm IMAX film was that some of the dialogue was drowned out by the loud music and sound effects. I don’t think the sound system at the theater was optimized very well.

Watching this at home with quieter, balanced sound and the subtitles on made me appreciate the dialogue and plot details in the film that much more. This is still the best movie of the year for me, and probably a top 3 Nolan film.
