This film is simply a masterclass in terms of film making. The cgi, on both the kaiju and jaegers, while being over 10 years old, are still some of the best utilization of CGI in a film to this day. Along with this are the wonderfully done fight scenes, which capture an amazing atmosphere and a sense of terror and intensity. how bad does a movie have to be for a 5th grader, who is easily entertained, to be bored and uninterested in it.. this movie is on another level of garbage, save yourself 2 hours, just watch the first one again, the only thing this movie does successfully is tarnish the legacy of the original film
