Somehow holds the balance between comedy, horror, mystery, and thriller. 1st half is weak, but once it gets going it’s very strong to the end.

Very much an early 2000s film that has trouble escaping its era. Hard for me at times to not compare it to clueless, which I think is better. 2nd half plot development was pretty good, though.

Weirdly directed, edited, and scored make it an odd movie that’s a bit all over the place. I guess it’s best described as a charming casual western, though the poppy classical soundtrack from burt bacharach often doesn’t really fit the events on screen.
