  The best Shakespearean adaptation I've seen, Branagh does an excellent job translating Shakespeare's work to film in a way that is concise, entertaining, and understandable. As a breakout film, the skill and quality with which this movie is created is astounding.

  A solid satire. Deliciously off-putting, so much so that I struggle to like the movie. However, horror and psychological horror, especially about the type of man that I'm already scared of, just aren't my thing. But I can appreciate it for what it is: a chilling commentary on the state of masculinity in America. The satire and commentary have aged almost unfortunately well.
