Arizona Dream 1993
I am not sure if this was a real movie or a fever dream, but the acting was brilliant! Lili Taylor managed to subtly steal the show and that’s saying a lot with Faye Dunaway trying to fly, Jerry Lewis in cowboy boots, Vincent Gallo being Cary Grant, and a baby Johnny Depp showing us all what he would become. Damn! I’m angry they kept this from us, my 20’s would have been a lot more dramatic had I been able to learn from this.

Where the Boys Are 1960
I watched this a lot on AMC in high school & loved it, though I’m surprised how well it held up. I mean, first off, Justice for Tuggle - because TV isn’t adorkable, he’s a jerk. And the pressure on women is REAL as it’s all about the changing sexual morals and attitudes among American college youth of the time & it nails it, feeling a lot more modern than it should for 60 yrs later. But also it’s fun and a young George Hamilton (tan because it’s a beach movie, but not THAT patented George Hamilton tan) is a plus.
