  i love jeffrey combs... it was so fun to see him play a villain. absolutely stellar performance from him. also wow robb wells?! i actually really enjoyed this. i havent been this uncomfortable w a movie in sooo long. was squirming and eeking and puking and contorting

  absolutely nothing meaningful was adapted from the book. which would be fine, i guess, if it actually said or did anything interesting as a standalone piece?? but the most it did was bastardize the imagery of the book and therein betray a poor understanding of the original narrative. nothing new or interesting was done here. this movie was a bland, chewed-and-spat-up distortion of the original text
