i heard a lot of mixed reviews ab this movie before i finally watched it and maybe it doesnt deserve 4 stars because of the lack of character development but for some reason giving it less than 4 feels like im not doing justice to the ideas behind it. beautiful boy was a tough watch especially seeing and relating the ways people can fall so deeply and have their brains not be able to comprehend that they have. the relationship between nic and his dad reaaaalllly made me think about mine with my rents, that is all!

i hate to sound ind*e and all but i for sure think this movie hit really hard because of the relatability of it. my experience with coming out wasn’t as extreme but seeing that things like that could’ve happened to me and do happen to people STILL in 2018 was heartbreaking and mindblowing.

ok i thought the plot of this movie was a little hard to follow. sometimes it’s like that the first time i watch movies, but it just seemed like there was a lot of different stuff going on all at once. on the other hand i rly liked the cinematography aspect of it, everything was rly beautifully portrayed and the tone of the movie was clear from the beginning as well as the scenes being very exaggerated but in a good way
