My Hero Academia: You're Next 2024
I saw this with a group of friends and we all thought it was pretty solid. The villain was pretty lame and there was a lot of really cheesy moments but it’s in that good shonen way.
The music and animation were really top notch and the final battle (without spoilers) was really pretty and over the top. Some of the new characters were also pretty fun, but not all of them

Class 1-A is on an Island, AGAIN!
The Villains were all cool but the only two who were really interesting were Nine and the Wolf dude, I couldn’t care about the others. The main highlight is the last 40 minutes which feels like it goes on forever. Everyone is using every trick up their sleeve to protect the two kids from Nine and some of it I think is really wacky and over the top.

Within the Woods 1978
This feels like uncovering a time capsule to the past. It’s interesting to look at this and see how The Evil Dead was a remake of this short film Rami and Campbell made. The POV camera, erie synth soundtrack, and overall story beats, characters and locations all came from here.
I don’t see it as anything more than that, but I still recommend seeing it if you love Evil Dead.

The title lied. I counted roughy thirty heros
Jokes aside, there is a pretty good story. The idea of the island being top secret feels like something out of a spy movie from the 1960s and the new characters were all interesting. The final battle was the main highlight and I think it was cool to see All Might’s early days as a transfer student.
