  The Banshees of Inisherin 2022

  I love this film so much, third time seeing it now and every bit of it hits just the same as the first. 

  It’s a beautiful movie, a beautifully sad story, performances from everyone are fantastic, it’s Irish so all that nuance to it just works as an Irish person myself. 

  Every beat of it works for me, the humour, the darkness, the conversations and the heart breaking moments.

  Good Morning, Vietnam 1987

  ★★★½ Rewatched 21 Mar 2025

  Not necessarily one of my favourites of his, but to this day Robin Williams death is the celebrity death that hit me the hardest. 

  Even in a movie I think is good, it’s one I don’t love but Robin, his presence, his energy, his smile. Truly there hasn’t ever been anybody like him before or since. 

  A decent watch, by no means a bad movie, just not one I love.

  What a fucking mess
  -Boring human sections
  -Choppy poorly edited fights
  -Logic from the past of both franchises gone right out the window
  -The Doc messaging minors
  -Full to the neck with cliches 

  Only saving graces it has is the xenomorph queen is cool and some of the predators look sick. 

  But it does get worse……. Requiem next.

  Pig 2021

  Seriously found this film so so boring. Like for the most of the first hour it was just random aimless plot. Yes, the movie is about getting his Pig back and yes it’s a very different mix up of the revenge genre. But it was such a drag and so random and aimless. 
  Maybe I just didn’t get the hype for the film and went in expecting something different or maybe the movies just not my cup of tea. But I didn’t enjoy this one at all to be honest.
