For the first 3/4 of this film it was a solid 5 stars for me it’s unfortunate the last half hour or so felt so disjointed from the rest of it and it felt a bit like they really didn’t know how to end this one.

Midnight 1939
This was a really fun film. Claudette is her usual charming self, she excels so much in screwball comedies it’s hard to believe she ever disliked It happened one night so much. Her and Don Ameche had great chemistry, I would have rated this higher if we got to see their relationship more or more of their shenanigans as the Czerny’s, I felt he reunited with her a little too late into the film, either that or it just needed to be longer. John Barrymore was also great in this. Overall, it was a very enjoyable watch.
