  Darkest Hour has so much potential to be an interesting story about the beginning months of WWII but ultimately falls short of being a great war movie. It does have a good cast and Gary Oldman's portrayal of Churchill is quite good, but at times it is hard to look past it just being Gary Oldman in a fat suit.   Lend a Paw is a delightful classic Disney short film that features Pluto front and center. Both Pluto and the kitten are able to convey a wide range of emotion despite neither speaking. There are also very humorous instances even if they are classic animation tropes. Despite the very simplistic plot, Lend a Paw is a charming short film that showcases classic Disney animation's power of emotions and humor. 4/5 stars

  The Apartment is a charming film that expertly weaves comedy into an at times tragic love story. The overall lighthearted tone is balanced by moments of real emotional depth, creating a rich and satisfying viewing experience. My only real critique is that the pacing can feel slow at times, but it's ultimately a fairly minor issue in an otherwise great film. 4/5 stars
