Mickey 17 2025
Honestly came out of this pretty disappointed, which may have been due to my brutal hangover but I’d like to think I can separate that from the movie. Overall it wasn’t bad but it was a miss for me. I liked the printing stuff but then it totally shifts gears into this take on colonialism and didn’t land it in my opinion.

Sat on this for a couple days and have been thinking about it a ton. Giving it the 5 star stamp. Loved it.
While the first act was fun and had me bricked up the entire time, the second act was such a much needed vibe shift and really had me hanging on to every minute of the runtime. The Armenians were such an awesome trio. Then obviously the third act gets you really thinking deeply about the characters once the comedy settles and some depression sets in. It has it all.
We’ve got a real star in Mikey Madison.

Carry-On 2024
This is the lane Netflix should be playing in, fun fast-paced thrillers. I’m all for it is they want to swing on something a little more substantial but the hit rate would likely increase if they kept doing things like Carry On.
I quite enjoyed Bateman in this and Eggerton was solid regardless of the British accent slipping through every so often.
