Focusing on the fear that occurs for women in the moment of realisation that they may be unsafe in the presence of a man - rather than focusing on the explicit violence. That alone sets this film apart from many others within this same theme.

A great example of how sometimes a clever concept that has been really considered and used well can make a film entirely engrossing. So much so that I was willing to forgive a lot of other average elements of this movie.

Had a great time - constantly surprised by narrative beats - thoroughly enjoyed. Such a surprise!

I was deeply frightened for the entirety of this film, not because of the film itself, but because it was so relentlessly boring and poorly written I stopped caring about it at all and used the time to instead think about all my past life decisions and mistakes that had led me to this horrible cinematic experience.

In the first 30 seconds the rage cage says "I forgot to wear my longlegs" this is never explained and is really funny.

Does magnificent justice to the novel. Gave me shivers through the sheer magnitude and visual marvel. Haven't felt so in awe since LOTR: Return of the King.
