a tell all of being a part of the latam diaspora
sweet story about family and belonging. nothing crazy aside from the fake nun that threatened to kill her niece.

it's more like a 3.75. super silly and self aware but also has touching moments. very good kids movie with gags for their adult parents lol a nice way to end a friday night
such a beautiful blend of comedy and feminist critique. genuinely did a great job of posing questions like "why do women's ambitions feel like they must be an accessory (pun intended) to mens' rather than be independent of their own" or "what does it mean to be a woman in a male dominated space and the importance of female friendships and support in these spaces" and "why can't you be a bad bitch AND be smart?".
