I LOVED the performances and how I felt transported back to the 60's. My only disappointment - I expected/wanted to like Dylan, but instead was left feeling like he's kinda a dick.

"The Brutalist," let me down. It is visually spectacular with strong performances from Adrien Brody and Guy Pearce, but overall this film did not work for me. There's no good reason that I could see for the marathon running time, and while Corbet deftly integrates the themes of trauma, bigotry, ambition, and resilience, he doesn't take us to a conclusion that Toth, the protagonist, (or the audience) deserves.
