First rewatch. The movie gets a bit rough in the middle, but the setups and mystery solves are pretty great, and Jake's detective is super compelling to watch. The ending (maybe the last 15-2 mins?) is edge-of-your-seat stuff.

Looking at Wiki, it's wild to consider how theatrical distribution has changed. This long flick made $60 mil domestic in box office! $20 mil in opening weekend. Unimaginable in 2025.

4.5, 5 stars, either way, this is extremely well done and a gut punch. I braced myself ahead of time assuming I've seen plenty of tough watches, I can shake this off pretty shortly after watching it - but I realize this will stick with me throughout the week.

The sound design. The singular vision of Glazer and his team in making this film. The performances. What's not seen on screen.

I'm pretty fascinated by Glazer. I've only seen Sexy…

I would do anything for this cat.

Gripping movie even without spoken dialogue. Unique animation. Made by people who understand animals. The depiction of the cat is so spot on.

I've enjoyed reading up on interpretations/thoughts on the world-building, and I'm also good with just vibes when thinking on it.
