Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth 1992
completely eschews the actual motives of Pinhead/the cenobites and clearly marks the move towards slasher/creature feature. enjoyable because of some goofy, kinda fun kills, and themed cenobites. like the dj cenobite who kills people with cds? the reporter cenobite with s camera eye? hell yeah, fucking corny, but fun. that said, pinhead’s motives are so inconsistent with his original characterization. the cenobites are no longer those who pursued the extremes of pleasure and sensation, instead they’re essentially themed zombie minions…
