Impression I got was From Dusk Till Dawn + Crossroads. Probably was a little over hyped, but only a little. Very well done vampire thriller with bonus cultural context.

Not Michael at his most Mann-liest, but a quality film. Great momentum plot-wise and Pachino stands out.
Impeccable vibes and beautiful scenery - just accept it as it is
Fun satire, but scary and depressing that this is not far off from how the wealthiest and most powerful individuals' views and beliefs
Taxi Driver by way of I Think You Should Leave. A dark comedy that was darker than I was expecting.
Great performances from the leads, I really felt invested in their story. A sad ending though, giving deeper meaning to the film's title.
Watching this and Dead Ringers after each other was kind of wild, because I got Cronenberg-esq vibes from this. Great dark comedy.
Cronenberg is awesome. And if you squint really hard this film is like a supremely messed up episode of Frasier.
Cool premise having the plot follow the monster and not the victims. Lots of quiet moments occasionally interspersed with brutality.
Honestly kind of boring. Sure there's a lot of action and it looks great, but the characters don't have any depth or interesting development (aside from Denzel's cartoonishly evil guy). Also weirdly red-pill coded.
