Someone's Watching Me! 1978
Apparently a TV movie, but looks like one of the best "cinematic" carpenter's legacies. Five years before De Palma's body double, it's a more direct and faithful heritage of Hitchcock's Rear Window, fusing with the paranoic mood of 70's early surveillance movies.

Wild at Heart 1990
Not my favourite Lynch film, but can not deny the unleashing sensation flowing through the movie (Nicolas Cage's iconic jacket!), which brought this familiar outlaw lovers story to many unexpected moments (both thematic and formal).
Wild at Heart is so free and limitless, pointing out , "This whole world is wild at heart and weird on top.”
