  then i went down a takeshi kitano rabbit hole and decided i had to watch this and my god… it is so poignant and lovely and i keep thinking about kikujiro’s back tattoo

  fucjckdjdkdosksxjdsjsk FUCK this was insane; it is so jarring to think of the wholesome gentleness of call me by your name and then regard suspiria, but i think this is luca guadagnino at top form. 

  two kinds of beauty are pit against each other, the conventionally gorgeous against the violently grotesque. both are incredibly compelling, so many images lingered in my mind long after they flashed by on screen. the dances and dream scenes and grotesque — wow.

  this is a very strong film, what a thrill!!!!
