  bawling my eyes out for almost two hours straight at 11p.m. on a monday because my priorities are super straight. :)

  trying to come to terms with death. the sense of doom that continously surrounds us. grappling with the existencial void and dread within us.

  not that i'm well-versed in philosophy but this a pretty straightforward film. the theme, the concepts... everything is exposed, and by that i mean that everything is extensively expressed in the dialogues. might be a flaw of it, i don't know. nevertheless, it's visually striking. the frames alternate between alluring and commanding. i loved the use of lights and shadows.

  this is my third bergman film and i'm looking forward to the ones to come.

  i knew i was gonna love this because it has many things i am very much fond of: drama!! style!! theatrics!! humour!! grandiosity!! high stakes!! and a tormented character who's a little bit gay !!!! (and i also loved watching all of the memes in real time ngl)

  anyway 10/10 experience!!!!!!! would definitely repeat!!!!
