  Bizarre acting, boring plot, and an even worse ending. It's funny how they wanted to steal just enough from Silence of the Lambs that they kept the offensive caricature of a queer person but not enough for it to be related to the plot at all. Literally just 'Look how scary this fag is.'

  Kind of the only sports movie that matters. It is so wonderfully kinetic: the insane bisexual polycule drama spanning a decade, the recurring techno beat motifs, the high energy inherent to any sport, the alinearity of it all. And it's wrapped in such an eclectic style/editing for Guadagnino [I know I'm falling into auterism here!] that it can border absurd, but it just works so well.
