Badass and fun. The writing was sloppy though, so many elements were introduced unnecessarily. Lost potential to be a classic, yet quite an entertaining ride.

Anora’s unpredictable energy keeps you engaged, it subverts the familiar rom-com genre and it can be thought provoking. But I’m holding it up to a higher standard because it won the Palme d’Or. I found the setup to be weak, I didn't learn enough about the characters, didn't feel emotionally invested, and in many parts found the storytelling to be more frivolous than impactful.
