The scene where Patrick confesses to his lawyer? Absolutely INCREDIBLE acting from Bale.
This satirical film conveys its messages about upper class ignorance and conformity effectively, but it felt repetitive at times. Perhaps that’s the point, as Patrick leads a very hollow, superficial and materialistic lifestyle.
I keep swinging back and forth as to whether to give this 3.5 or 4 stars.
