Woman of the Hour 2023
This felt real. We are moving through the story with the victims, not the killer. There is space left for comedy and mundanity, the features of everyday life for, unfortunately, the abuse and murder of women are events of everyday life, not some grand cinematic event.
I think a lot of the people who are calling this movie middling- bad even- would say they are fans of the traditional serial killer movie. They are used to the heightened drama, the evil mastermind, the genius obsessive detective all of which this movie and real life lacks.
