La La Land 2016
ugh. they helped each other achieve their dreams just to end up without each other. sad ending but I personally love that they did this because it highlights the fact that in life you aren’t going to be able to get everything you want. They got their dreams but lost each other, everything comes with sacrifices. The cinematography was amazing and i love love loved the color symbolism throughout. 10/10 movie all around.

ok like it was entertaining and funny at times but i had a hard time getting past the fact they were supposed to be 14. and it was supposed to be set in the 90s? i like the boy friendship trope it was cute but i wish they were like 16 in the 2010s.

Waves 2019
this movie shattered me to pieces and then slowly glued me back together. The first half shows how quickly everything can fall apart when you loose track of who you are and where you are going and the second part shows how you eventually are able to heal from deep wounds you’ve endured. It shows you how being vulnerable can lead to good things. This movie makes you sit and think about how one simple action can change your life forever. I personally loved every bit of it.
