The Piano Teacher 2001
Funny how I discovered an all-time favorite and now one of my most hated movies back to back. Michael Haneke’s condensed filth masquerading as a film, aka “The Piano Teacher” is the latter. I despise nearly everything about this movie, from the stark and uninspired cinematography to the entire cast of toxic “characters”. Movies don’t always have to be fun, but at least attempt to engage me to the point of caring. If you want two hours of constant groaning and watch-checking this is the picture for you. Mean-spirited gutter scum.

At the Edge of Orland 2021
I really liked this and I'm looking forward to seeing what else you've made, Reed. The score was immaculate and I absolutely loved the way this was shot. The deep blues and blacks present during the nighttime badlands chase were just plain stunning and helped lend the film a very ghostly and lonely aura.
If I learned one thing from watching this, it's that South Dakota's cinematic potential is boundless, yet somehow largely untapped.
